The BMW S 1000 XR is an upscale, all-purpose motorcycle. It can do track racing and long-distance riding on winding roads. It’s a motorcycle for all seasons. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The high performance of the BMW S 1000 XR results from a strong engine/transmission combination. The engine is a liquid-cooled, 999 cc inline-four with four valves per cylinder and DOHC. This is mated with a six-speed gearbox, a slip/assist clutch, and optimized Shift Assist Pro. This powerful combination cranks out 170 horsepower and 84 lb.-ft. of torque. There are other performance-enhancing features included on the S 1000 XR.

Many of the S 1000 XR’s visual elements have been redesigned, including the air intakes, side panels, radiator trim, and front fender. The S 1000 XR has three paint schemes: Gravity Blue Metallic, Blackstorm Metallic 2, and Light White/M Motorsport. Optional packages include the Premium and M Packages.
