BMW Updates Almost Entire Motorcycle Range for 2018

BMW Motorrad has announced sweeping updates across almost its whole motorcycle range for 2018 including a new e-scooter and a new infotainment system. The bikemaker’s most popular model, the R1200GS, will come with an emergency call system, a Connectivity system, auxiliary headlights and brand-new styling. Most of the updates are offered as optional equipment and include new paint finishes influenced by BMW’s motorsports history. BMW enthusiasts have welcomed the extensive range of upgrades, particularly as they introduce a more customizable element to the ever-popular motorbike.

The key upgrades and features include:

• Option to make emergency calls right from the handlebars
• Connectivity system for use with a smartphone for navigation
• LED auxiliary headlights in new design
• New paint finishes including Racing Red, Black Storm and Iced Chocolate, Frozen Bronze, Achat Grey metallic, Cobalt Blue, Light White
• Dynamic and Enduro riding modes for enhanced rider comfort
• Keyless ignition
• Shift Assistant Pro
• Passenger Pack with windshield and High Rally seat
• Embossed BMS RT logo embossed on the passenger seat of the latest R1200RT
• Dynamic Traction Control (DTC)
• Hill Start Control (HSC)
• Akrapovic full-titanium exhaust system
• The BMW K1600GT, K1600GTL and K1600B receive optional LED auxiliary headlights along with BMW Motorrad Spezial parts and finishes
• The rest of the range – C650GT, C650 Sport, F700GS, F800GS, F800 Adventure – will get new paint finishes
